1)
Bring to boil in heavy pot (MEDIUM Heat).
2) Boil hard, stirring
constantly until toffee threads in cold
water (about 20 minutes).
3)Pour onto buttered
baking sheet.
4) Cool.
5)) Turn sheet upside
down and break into pieces.
As a treat nuts may
be added to pan before toffee is poured
but this is no longer like traditional
Highland Toffee.
